Storm Chasers from Down Under

A good friend of mine, Rich Koivisto from Duluth, MN sent me this link of storm chasers from Australia who happens to be his friends. The most interesting part of this story is that Jane and Clyve a month out of the year to storm chase in the United States. You can read their latest adventure below. By the way, they were chasing the storm that produced major tornado damage in Oklahoma on Monday May 10th:

Sunday Weather in Minnesota

Good news for anglers, graduation parties, family reunions and everything else outdoors... it appears that Sunday weather will be mostly dry with just a few more clouds than Saturday.

Sunday Temps

With the additional cloud cover, temperatures will be slightly cooler than yesterday. We should still manage the 70's across the southern part of the state - average high for today's date is 70F.

Percent Cloud Cover Today:

Don't expect quite as much sunshine today, but there will be enough to get that all important late spring glow/tan.

By the way, here are your UV index levels for Sunday:

How long does it take to get a sunburn with exposed skin? See here:

With a UV Index of 6 for the Twin Cities - it takes between 30 to 45 minutes to get a burn with exposed skin. Make sure you have the SPF 30 if you're planning on being on the water, catching that lunker!

Sunday Wind Speed and Direction

The winds turn more easterly today, but there will not be a significant increase in wind speed from Saturday.

Have a good Sunday!
