Tornado Watch until 1 am (severe storms arrive around 10 pm)

Update: 8:00 pm. Tornado warnings in effect from Elbow Lake to Parkers Prairie and Wadena. Storms moving east at 35 mph. Most intense storm with strong rotation (and hail nearly 2" in diameter) near Elbow Lake. People living near Little Falls, Alexandria and St. Cloud should stay alert - storms continue to intensify and should peak around 9-10 pm. After that the main concern will be straight-line winds, large hail and torrential rains as the line of storms mutates into an MCS, a mesoscale convective system, capable of some 2-3"+ rainfall amounts overnight. Storms should reach the metro area by 10-11 pm. Tornado watch remains in effect for central MN (including the Twin Cities area) until 1 am. Stay alert for severe weather between 9:30 pm and midnight, followed by torrential rains into the wee hours of the morning.
